I took my dog to Groomingdale's for the first and last time. When I arrived, I stood up front for 5 minutes before anyone noticed I was there. I told the woman what I wanted, and without a smile or anything, she told me I needed to be available to pick my dog up when she called. I assumed she was just busy so said okay. 2 hours later, she called to tell me to come pick her up. When I arrived, the same thing happened. I stood up front and watched and listened to her and another woman have a full 10 minute long conversation while I waited. When they brought my dog to me, I thought she had been attacked. The haircut was horrible, she still had brown ""gunk"" in her eyes. I pulled my credit card out, to which she snapped at me ""I don't take that!"" There were no signs posted. I wrote a check and asked her to clean my dog up, which she rudely did, snapping at my dog ""SIT STILL!"" the entire time. She clearly is an example of someone who works on dogs because people can't stand her personality. I will never take my dog there again. When I got home, I found 3 small cuts on my dog's ears from her scissors. She is rude, unprofessional, and overpriced.
Pros: No appointments necessary
Cons: Poor quality. Rude service. Overpriced for the market.
