I sought out a surgeon to help ""put me back together"" after my battle with breast cancer. I made the decision to have double mastectomies due to the high incidence of breast cancer in my family. I am still rather young and wanted to be sure I could recover my shape after removing my breasts. During my entire battle with cancer, I read and researched everything, every step of the way (procedures, risks, outcomes, how to pick a Dr, how to pick a treatment, what has the best survival rate, etc). All the leading books tell you to find a surgeon that is credible, has a strong reputation, extensive experience and a demeanor to support you in the last every step towards recovery. Dr Shusterman and his staff, especially Michele (his OR nurse) more than exceeded all of my expectations.
Pros: Best surgeon for a wholistic approach to healing from cancer
Cons: Parking - but they are moving to a new building soon!
