Don't Trust Town and Country Auto 6/18/2008

I took my 2004 Chrysler Sebring Convertable into Town and Country Auto to have them sell it on consignment. Three weeks after I had dropped off the car a friend of mine said that my car wasn't on the lot and asked if it sold. It had not to my knowledge. It took me another 2 weeks to get the time to go and see for myself. Sure enough the car was gone and neither the owners son nor the owner even knew about the car. I had to threatened to call the police and report the car as stolen before anyone took me serious. First then said that they had a soild offer for $8,500.00 then after me demanding to see my car, five hours later, they said that they sold the car for $9,600.00. The sales paper that they came up with was dated for 12 days prior. When I showed up with a friend to pick up my car the owner Donald got violent towards my friend. He threatened to beat him up. Donald was yelling and totally out of control. Someone involved with that car lot was driving around my car for weeks before they got caught. They put on 2, 800 miles onto the car. Then they had the nerve to charge me $500.00 for a consignment fee. I have gone to the Attorney General's Office with an offical complaint. Cons: They are not trustworthy more
