Took my Land Rover Discovery in for repairs. I had talked to Steve and he sounded knowledgable. Had them fix a coolant leak and they recommended a new serpentine belt. So had the dealership. Picked up my vehicle and they told I needed a new battery. I declined. Battery went dead a couple of days later. Went to replace it and saw my bumper was cracked. It wasn't there when I dropped it off, I know because I had opened the hood several times right before taking it to RPM. Called Steve and went to go see him and he tells me the tech that worked on my truck noticed the bumper was cracked(so why didn't he report it) but he might have made it worse when he worked on it. Steve offered to split the cost of the part and not charge labor to put it on. I priced the part at $804.00. I'm thinking $350.00 is what they charged me for repairs, I'll bet I don't hear back from them. Sure enough still haven't heard from them it's been over a month. It gets better yet, about a week after the repairs the belt starts squealing not everytime just once in a while. it get progressively worse. To the point that everytime when the truck is cold it does it. Sounds like a pack of screaming cats under the hood. Really embarassing!! Since they haven't taken care of my complaint I don't trust them with my truck anymore. I take it to another mechanic who specializes in Land Rovers and he guesses the belt was routed wrong. I took it over to him and ten minutes later it's ready and they confirmed that the belt was routed wrong. All I know is when I started it this morning , NO Squealing!! Very disappointed with RPM. They could have at least called and told me they couldn't do the part plus not even able to replace the fan belt right!! They won't see me again!!
