This is probably my favorite place in Houston, and one of the very few reasons I leave the 610 loop. The service is always very friendly and the food is fantastic. The injera is soft and consistent, the Ethiopian equivalent of stews and ""stir fries"" are simple yet very flavorful and fresh, and the vegetarian options would make even some of the staunchest carnivores consider a meat-free meal. I try to go at least once a month and try to ""hook"" as many friends onto the cuisine as possible. Not everything is pureed as another reviewer stated, only some of the vegetarian options. If you've never had it think of it as various stir-fries or hearty stews that you pick up with a crepe that tastes like sourdough. Don't go for a quick dinner though--everything is made to order and does take a bit longer than normal.
Pros: Food, price, variety, service
Cons: The neighborhood might scare off some people
