I never understood the attraction to dive bars until I stepped into the Hub. It is the greatest dive bar--trashy and fabulous. It has the best and the worst jukebox in the world, depending on your mood. And it is a time warp--it doesn't matter if I go in at 7 p.m. or 1 a.m., I am probably going to be there until closing time. Definitely THE place to end up after a night out. It has great drinks, awesome bartenders (who can take care of themselves...), and the craziest mix of people I have ever seen. Bring sanitizer and your drinking hat--and either a dd or cab money, 'cause you'll probably need it.
Pros: Bartenders with an attitude, drinks that'll kick you in the teeth, and the lights are nice and low...
Cons: Avoid touching anything in the bathrooms...
