Famous Pizza recently changed ownership, and is now called Westwood Pizza. What did not change, apparently, were the ovens and the recipes. This is simply the best pizza I have ever had in my life. I've been living in New York for 3 years, and supposedly eating the ""best pizza on the planet"". It does not measure up to Famous/Westwood Pizza. The large plain pie has just the right amount of cheese, which is lightly salted and perfectly melted (brown in spots, but not burnt). The sauce is good, but not overstated. The crust: delectable. Maybe the best part. Add in some reasonably priced soft drinks, a garlic knot or two, and a friendly smile from the loyal staff, and you've got a great pizza dinner.
