My nine year old son has been taking riding lessons at Shady Lakes for several months, and we have found the owners, Spike and Jenny, to be kind, caring and compassionate. My son is classified as ""special needs"" and has both behavioral and developmental challenges. Spike and Jenny have helped him to gain confidence in his abilities, and are also teaching him valuable lessons in self-reliance, and in how to respect and care for animals. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility.
