my check engine light came on after buying a car off of craigslist.so i went to this pep boys and i had them do a diagnostic on it.4 hours later they told me that one of the pistons doesnt work and that i need a completley new engine and parts and labor would cost $3000.i bought the damn car for $900.anyway a few days later the light went off and i took it to pep boys on hollywood blvd.i had them due a tune up on it and when they did all they found was a broken air intake hose (cost $95) and nothing at all wrong with the engine.the one on san fernando rd tried to rip you off especially if you are a female.do not go there.go to the one on hollywood blvd.they are friendlier and they are honest unlike the san fernando people.i repeat DO NOT EVER GO TO THE ONE ON SAN FERNANDO UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF!
