Overpriced

Monday, December 29, 2008
When we walked in, there was an accordionist and a guitar player. The place seemed warm with a light upbeat atmosphere. And that was the best of the evening. The wait staff, two young women were prertentious, cold and unpersonable. The young man was trying to add a gracious welcoming touch to the place but was not able alone to undermine unappealing behaviour of the two women. The quality of the food was mediocre with all sharing one main ingredient: lots of lime juice or something just as tart. My friend and I ordered the most expensive item on the menu ($15.95 each) : Mediterranean Meza for 2. Tapas sized sampler of 10 items from the menu. $2.50 for a can of soda. If atmosphere is more important than substance to you, maybe this is the right place. If food is important, I would skip it. The novelty aspect of the place is not enough to merit a second visit and if I had known beforehand what I described above, I would not have even been there this first time. We have enjoyed many good Mediterranean restaurants in New York, LA, Chicago, Houston as well as abroad and based on such experience, we cannot say this was one of them. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Service and food
