Melissa Designer Jewelry is a wonderful owner operated store in Hillsborough. The owner Melissa, makes all her pieces right there in her studio and her work is displayed in the front gallery area of her store. The jewelry is absolutely stunning, gold with high quality gems. She has some pieces that use unusual stones and she also has all of my favorites amethyst, peridot, garnet and a great selection of pearls. I live in Chapel Hill so it's not far to Hillsborough and it's so worth it. I've purchased 3 pieces since my first visit and several of my close friends have become customers as well. Great place, thumbs up!
