When I think of motels I usually think of a normal room not as nice as a hotel but not as gross as a hostel. Bel-Mateo definitely falls into that in between category. If your looking for a cheap place to stay without too many high expectations Bel-Mateo is right up your alley. There is no breakfast served but the view is great and it is less than a five minute walk to the Cal Train station as well as right next door to the Van's Hotel and multiple other restaurants. The bed's aren't uncomfortable and the bathroom is very small though.
