My wife and I have shopped at the Fullerton Jewelry Mart for several years. We have always been pleased with the quality and price of jewelry purchased but that changed on 10-17-08, with the purchase of a 2.48 opal from the Cambodian Jeweler located near the South wall. The 2.48 carat opal was to be mounted in a different yellow yellow gold pendant in which was currently mounted a .95 carat opal of fair color. It was to be ready for pickup the next day. When my wife visited the Mart to pick up the pendant, the jeweler claimed she was mistaken, that opal he sold us was the .95 carat, but he would throw in a gold chain. Not knowing what to do, she left with the smaller opal and gold chain and of considerably lessor value than the price paid for the larger opal. I immediately returned to the Jewelry Mart, accosted the man about his duplicitous treatment of my wife and demanded the opal we paid for. He refused but was forced to return my money. So, unless you can walk away, at the time of sale, with the item purchased I strongly suggest you avoid this particular jeweler. Anyone wishing further information about this particular jeweler can contact me by e-mail.
