It had been a few years since I visited Chubby's and I had positive memories and expectations. I went with my finance' for lunch and noticed they had redecorated and expanded, nice atmosphere, clean and attractive. But: The wait staff was disinterested, the service was slow, after 30 minutes I finally asked about our order and only then did the waiter mention the cook was late for work and later offered luke warm apology. He was otherwise inattentive and even avoiding eye contact with me, presumably sensing our irritation.
