Very swank atmosphere! High ceilings, low lighting, flowing walls of chiffon undulating, private tables with low bench beds, and a urban unisex bathroom in shimmering irredescent tile. Definitely looks like a place for a romantic evening of fun. I met after work for a quick wine and small plate with a few girlfriends. HA!! We ended up staying until after 9pm partaking in many small plates, each one an exquisite execution and a unique presentation. We tried the Calamari Steak with a remolade of olives, nuts, and cheese...melt in your mouth good. Clams with Chorizo...spicy and great sauce for dipping the crusty bread. Ceviche of lobster, scallop and shrimp was to die for...topped with an orange/citrus grenache that made the flavors pop in my mouth. A Tuna Salad arrived next served in a Spanish Niccoise style complete with quail egg, potatoes, veggies and a spicy sauce for dipping surrounding a bed of well dressed spicy greens. The Empanadillas arrived warm from the oven with spicy cheese and carmelized onions oozing from these little packages that were cooked to perfection. Speaking of decadent, we ordered the flourless Choocolate Cake that was filled with a nut reduction reminiscent of a Reeses Peanut butter cup. And if that was not enough, we tried the Creme Brulee that arrived topped with an orange slice that had been dusted with coarse sugar and toasted to perfection. I almost shed a tear when we were leaving because this fabulous live band was just warming up to play some great danceable south of the border salsa music. Definitely have to bring my husband here on a date night! Pros: swank atmosphere and lush selection of food Cons: NA
