Very worst place to take your car!! 8/9/2007

I would never take my vehicle to the place again. Not only were they not knowledgeable about current specifications and practices, but they made multiple mistakes that led to me having to take the vehicle back to them many times, causing me to have to rent cars on 4 occasions.\r \r I took my Bronco to them for a brake check. They told me that the front pads were 85% worn, and the rears were 65% worn. They recommended that I replace all pads and replace the shocks. I instructed them to replace the front pads only. I took the car home and installed all 6 shocks myself...it's very easy. Shortly after this my front tires began to lock. I took it back, and while investigating that issue, they coincidentally found a bad master cylinder. They took my front pads off and scuffed up the pads. That sounded a little strange. No change. I took it back again, and I think they changed the pads, and ground the rotors again. Same issue. I went to Ford, and they told me about a tech bulletin concerning the proper pads to use. Went back to Brakecheck and found they used wrong pads, and they changed the pads but scuffed them up again. And, they lost some parts. I confronted them on the tech bulletin, and they did not have it. I was in the middle of moving to CA, and had to leave. When I got close to CA, the front brakes started to grind. I took it to a CA Ford dealer and they said that Brake Check had totally screwed it up, and since they had ground so much off of the rotors, I had to buy new rotors. They claimed that I did not replace the rear brakes or shocks as they recommended, so I was to blame. I pointed out that one should not have to replace brakes if they're only 65% worn, and that I took care of the shocks. They had no response. I wrote them a letter and got no response.\r Brake Check is a horribly managed business that does not keep up with known methods, makes up their own rules about brake replacement, and does not own up to their responsibilities. Pros: None. Cons: Training not up to date, poor techniques, poor management responsibility more
