My boyfriend took me to Benjamin's for my birthday. We had a reservation at 8pm and were seated promptly. I loved the decor of the place, with lights low and dark leather accented furniture. I ordered a few pre-dinner martinis, which were well made and strong. I had crab cakes to start with and my bf had the lobster bisque. For main course I had the chilean sea bass and my boyfriend a filet mignon. Both were excellent. I also had a side order of mashed potatoes. The portions are HUGE (i felt like i had a half sea bass) and I could not finish mine. My boyfriend enjoyed his steak too. As it was my birthday, my bf had asked the staff ahead of time for a cake for me. The manager and the waiters brought it out and sang to me, which was very nice. A lot of people in the restaurant also clapped at the end. Yes, the place is expensive, but quality is great and you definitely get a large portion of whatever you order.
