Wonderful Restaurant Week experience!

Tuesday, July 17, 2007
I came here w/ expectations that food would be decent and service would be average, but I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience. Restaurant week menus tend to be very boring but I was intrigued by the variety of choices. We were seated promptly for our 6:30 reservation, the place was getting pretty busy already but not packed. Our waitress was extremely friendly and made us feel very comfortable. We each had a glass of wine, and ordered the prix fixe menu with the addition of a jumbo lump crab appetizer which was very tasty. The cauliflower soup was yummy with a few seared (mini) scallops. The entree portiions were a tad on the small side, but presentation was nice and both the braised short rib and sea bass entrees was very good. For dessert we had the chocolate truffle cake and peach tart, both were delicious. Overall everything from service, to presentation, to food was very good. Can't say one bad thing. We'll definitely be coming back... especially since their prix fixe menu is all summer long. Pros: Good service, good food, great value for the prix fixe menu! Cons: can't say there are any!
