I've known the people at Pampered Pets and have been a customer and I can wholeheartedly assure anyone who is searching for a good grooming experience that few groomers in the KC area take their job as seriously. The point of grooming an animal is that excess hair comes off and it has to go somewhere. Part of the attraction of taking your animal to a grooming shop is that you do not want that excess fur on *your* floor, as do almost thirty other customers a day. Despite this, they manage to clean the store at least twice a day, but with as many customers as they get, they can't steam clean the store twice a day. Pet groomers need to eat, too. If the cost is really that much of a point of contention for someone looking to get a grooming, perhaps it's better to groom your own animal. All of the animals in the shop have identification cards securely attached to their cages, which is where they are when they are not in the hands of the groomers. Pampered Pets also has air conditioning and the cages are always fastened. Pampered Pets NEVER uses tranquilizers and as a matter of fact is well known throughout the Kansas City Area for taking problem animals and grooming them when others won't. It sounds like the previous reviewer was having a bad day, since the majority of the reviews here are quite positive. I'm very pleased to leave yet another positive and glowing review of Pampered Pets.
