Morton?s is over-rated and you can find a better steak at another establishment.

This was my first time at Morton?s and was disappointed by my meal. APPETIZER I ordered a crab cake, and failed to notice that it said ?cake? not ?cakes?. Although I must say it was the best crab cake I have ever had, it certainly was not worth $15.00. I could have purchased an entire crab for that price. ENTREE I ordered the rib eye and requested that it be cooked medium-well. After a rather lengthy wait, the steak was finally brought to the table. Unfortunately, when I cut into it, it was clearly prepared rare. Thankfully, I was able to obtain the attention of the manager and he promptly acknowledged that it was rare and took it back to the kitchen. When the steak was returned to me, its outward appearance looked completely unappealing. What was once an undercooked steak was now clearly burnt, but I was willing to give it a try. I was attempting to swallow the charred piece of meat when my waiter returned to see if I liked it. The waiter took the steak away and within a few minutes, and entirely new piece of steak was brought to me by the manager with his apologies. Thankfully, it was much better DESSERT We were told by the waiter that if we wanted the hot chocolate cake we would need to order it at the time we ordered the entree b/c it would take one hour to prepare, and that he would return with a dessert tray at the end of the meal should we want something from it. We ordered a hot chocolate cake and expected to see the dessert tray later. The cake appeared at the end of the meal, but the waiter never brought the dessert tray. OVERALL IMPRESSION Overall, I think Morton?s is over-rated and you can find a better steak at another establishment. Pros: Delicious crab cake. Cons: Overpriced crab cake.
