What can I expect from such a low price? But jeez!

Travelling across the US, we've stopped at B&Bs in MA (Boston), NY (NYC & Syracuse), IL (Chicago), and CA (San Francisco & Los Angeles) but this was just ridiculous. This was, without a doubt a one-star B&B. (Maybe two with the big TV?)
The first day of arrival at the inn, the office was inconveniently CLOSED at 3-ish pm. NOTICE: "Office Hours: 9am-8pm"? The front door was locked and we were sitting in our rent-a-car in their driveway. I had to pull out my international cell phone; a very pricy call when using a global phone from another country FYI. And hear this; NO ONE ANSWERED! We could hear the phone ringing inside the house, but no one answered. So we had to make another pricy call to their emergency phone and finally someone answered. The lady who answered was rude and didn't even apologize for the inconvinience. They told us that the key was hidden under the doormat and we had to go fetch it ourselves. Then some basic instructions and greetings were made over the phone.
The rooms were reasonably sized, the TV was the biggest of all places we've stayed, but those are the only pros I can think of. Not to mention that any B&B should have the things I've mentioned.
CONS: The rooms were unvacuumed and our black suitcases collected the dust and were all white. Dirty dirty dirty...
Shared bath and bathroom which they failed to mention when we booked the B&B
Poor customer service (Honestly, we've never met the inn-keeper even on our 4th day. We only "met" on the phone)
No trash bin or exchange of towels
Overall, this B&B was obviously a low-budget B&B and they showed little interest to satisfy their customers. We've stayed at inns in Syracuse and Chicago, and we've loved them. They had luxurious rooms with high-end equipment and beautiful decorations. One even had a jacuzzi! But, this was just our opinion, and everyone has their personal taste and experiences...
Pros: Big TV, accessible busses, safety
Cons: Everything mentioned in the review*
