Blue Adobe is NEW MEXICAN cuisine. Carne adovada is the benchmark for New Mexican cuisine, and Blue Adobe has the best outside New Mexico so far. Not as good as my ex-girlfriend's mother's near Espa?ola or the Plaza Cafe in Santa Fe, but DARN CLOSE. Go to the Mesa location for the real deal!!\r
You'll see New Mexico locals/transplants here all the time, you can tell by the Albuquerque/UNM gear. (GO LOBOS!) Service is spot-on, and the restaurant has a familiar atmosphere with simple wooden furniture. They also have a few top shelf tequilas for sipping. Portions are perfect, and you might even end up taking some home if you don't bring an appetite. Lots of scrumptious dishes!\r
If you've got some out-of-town friends who want to try some DELICIOUS southwestern cooking without pretentiousness, this is the place. It can get busy at dinner, so arrive early dinner or late afternoon for optimal service.
