For lovers of boutique-style hotels, this is NOT one that you want to stay at. Though the building's restoration is nice, there are some things to note. Walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbors' conversations as if you were in the room. It was miserable, especially late at night when people are talking in ""day-time"" voices. I heard another guest mention that it felt like staying at a hostel. The water pressure in our shower was weak the majority of our 3 night stay. The restaurant and cafe are pleasant and the food is actually quite good. As to customer service, though noone was rude...noone had accurate information about nearby shopping and restaurant options. From the valet to the front desk attendant to the waitress. We were told that there was nothing in walking distance for a late evening dinner. We eventually figured out that a block north was a lovely restaurant, Nick's Deli, and about 5 blocks away were a number of mexican and italian restaurants too. They didnt even mention the Starbucks 1 block east. When we asked for a cab since we needed to get to a drugstore (there's none in walking distance in downtown Phoenix, by the way) the front desk called a car service instead and our 10 minute run to Walgreens ended up costing us $20 round trip (it's an $18 flat rate from the hotel to the airport which is a 20 minute drive). A one night stay might not be bad but I dont recommend this hotel at all for long stays.
Pros: Location is right downtown with close proximity to a number of restaurants/cafes.
Cons: Hotel staff had no knowledge of local information.
