Best dive in Houston 3/1/2007

I've been in Houston a year now, and this is the best (dive) bar I've found. Great place to go and drink and not break the bank. As the sign says out front, the TV is, in fact, quite large.. But, this place is more about drinking and talking than it is about watching sports (you can go to Chumpps for that). Good jukebox with a mixture of country, classic rock, alternative music. Bartenders are very friendly, and you can get a bucket of six cold ones for about $13. This place is hardly "cheek to jowl" with a ritzy hotel, since it sits across the street and across the railroad tracks from "civilization," tucked in behind a small strip shopping center. Alas, "train shots" have been discontinued, but the "wrong side of the tracks" ambiance remains. Pros: cheap drinks, no windows Cons: small, can get a little crowded more
