Nice little cafe 3/24/2007

Both Ways is a small cafe (seemed like less than 10 tables) located in the Genesse neighborhood of south Seattle. The lunchtime offerings consisted of typical cafe fare: sandwiches, soup, and breakfast items were still offered. Served at the table, my order consisted of an average sized turkey sandwich on their own baked honey wheat bread with a side of pasta salad and a latte. The turkey was quite good; nice thick slices of seemingly real turkey as opposed to the typical thin slices of turkey mass found most everywhere else. The bread was OK; 6/10. Tasted fine, but a little dry and crumbly. Pasta salad was mediocre. Service was above average. Quick, pleasant. Not too much, not too little. Coffee was great; it really *blanked* the spot. (Blank rhymes with git, why the word is inappropriate is beyond me.) Everyone else at the table seemed to enjoy their meal.\r \r Ambiance: Small. Local art/posters on the wall. A very large odd, but kind of cool, wooden mantle (?) on one wall. A bit strange, but it worked.\r \r The sandwich and pasta was about $8, the coffee around $3. \r \r I liked this place. I would return if I was in the neighborhood. Pros: Good service, decent food. Cons: None. more
