I agree entirely with the post before mine. the mac club is an experience, which i am proud to contribute to. my family (4 including myself) have been members for roughly ten years. when i graduated highschool and became a ""senior member"" the mac made it very smooth. because the mac allows members through a lottery, they wanted to keep you as a member by allowing a temporary (unil the age of i believe 21 or 23) discount. i live in sherwood and i could certianly find a membership at a dozen other places nearby, but nowhere offers the community i feel there, and the many ammenites they have there. where in teh same building can you go work out outside (asuming there is nice weather) on a balcony, watch a game at pge park, get your hair done, go out to eat work in the study in the same building? on another note, all the equipment is regularly replaced. it was the most impressive treadmills i have ever seen. there is a reason they allow only by lottery. there are already so many members, you have to wait for months for a locker contract to end, and to be assigned a locker. the lottey doesn't discriminate. i know of many very well established families in the portland metro area who have been tured down. it is hands down the best athletic club i have ever been too, and will remain a member for my entire life.
Pros: everything, family friendly place
Cons: it's far away from where i live--but worth it
