Tough call

Wednesday, March 28, 2007
they need more sushi chefs like other places. the place is only romantic when its not happy hours. I've been there about 3 times. I usually give more than one chance to a place before i decide whether the place is worthy of going again. Two of the three times, I went there, I would see fruit flies flying around. maybe meaning that they don't keep stuff fresh? poor cleaning perhaps? Its quite bothersome to have fruit flies flying around while you're eating a nice meal. I would suggest trying out umi sake house instead. they have a much cleaner place. ambience was a little better for me. maybe try it once. you might like it, I am a bit hesistant in going to Nijos again. I agree with the last review that the service is very slow overall as well as inconsistant quality of food. Like the other reviewer, I also went on a thursday evening, and the quality of the wasn't that great. Maybe its the chef? I would highly suggest Umi sake house and for traditional sushi, go to Shiros. This place is a tough call. Pros: happy hour maybe? Cons: slow service
