Is there a way to give negative stars? This is not the Bizou I remember and love. We went for lunch yesterday with 5 co-workers and we spent 1 hr and 45 minutes in the restaurant. This was not by choice.
1) Had a reservation, were on time, and still had to wait, even though we saw tables available.
2) The menu was not the same one that they had on their website. I had eaten at Bizou before and had directed my friends to the website for the Water Gardens location. When we asked the waitress what had happened, she said they had changed the menu that day and that they were under new management as of a few weeks ago.
3) Took out all the good dishes from the old menu, left the crappy ones. The menu is now painfully boring. And substantially more expensive.
4) Asked if I could sub a side dish out on the chicken masala plate and was told a flat "NO," not "Let me check" or "I'll see if we can do that."
5)Food took over an hour to come out. No apology. Water did get filled though.
6) Plates arrived with 4 ravioli for one friend and 6 for another, when asked about this the waitress tried to take their plates away so that she could take one off of the plate with 6 and put it on the plate with 4, which is unacceptable.
7) MOST IMPORTANT: Food was bland. Friend with mushroom pizza could not be convinced that the mushy pieces on her pie were, in fact, mushrooms. Sausage in my pasta was undercooked and the sauce tasted like cleaning fluid (I ordered something else when denied my original request). The ravioli were miserable and the Chinese chicken salad on my other friend's plate was doing a backstroke in the ocean of dressing. Salmon pasta for the fifth friend had to be salted heavily and was still inedible.
8) Had to get up to find waitress to get our bill.
Will not be back.
Pros: Water Garden Building Beautiful, Restaurant Still Looks Nice (unless they plan to change that too)
Cons: Service was Awful, Food was Worse
