This was the most disappointing dining experience I've ever had. It was my first visit back to Beethoven's in about 3 years. They used to have excellent steaks, but the one I had tonight I could have ordered at Waffle House. Our server was slow, disappeared for half the meal which was odd, because the place was empty on a Saturday night. Most restaurants will bring you a glass of water when you order wine with your meal. He never would have brought us a glass until we asked. Which I did halfway thru my meal, and at that, we were only served 1 glass of water. At this point we were so fed up with the entire experience we didn't even bother asking for anything but the check. That's another reason to never visit this place- completely overpriced. Not only was the food generic and overpriced, the atmosphere was completely unappetizing. The restaurant stinks, it literally smells bad because it still has a smoking section. The decor is outdated and the elevator music playing throughout the dining room was worse than the kind of music you hear in the waiting room at the dentist office. I would not recommend this restaurant if it was the last restaurant on earth! This was 1 hour and $75 of my life that I will never get back.
