Appraisers for lenders but verbally abusive to homeowners/ consumer. We had an application fee issue with our mortgage broker on an loan over the appraisal fee as part of the application vs paying at closing if we went forward with loan. We were advised to stop payment why we sorted this out with the lender. That morning we received 23 phone calls in a row that were beyond unprofessional, obsene and obnoxious. Even after being assured by our broker that Aegis was paid by the lender, we continued to receive calls. If your lender tells you these guys are coming to appraise you houseask for another company - unless you enjoy verbal abuse and grown men having a personal temper tantrums at you instead of the corporation that hires them.
