me: I need someone to finish installing my phone system. whats your hourly rate?
him: $85/hr (minimum 1 hr charge)
me: how long do you think it will take to hook it up?
him: about 20 minutes
me: so we would still have about 40 minutes left to remove some long distance codes, and tweak it a little?
him: no, I don't have time for that. I'll hook it up for $85. That's it.
me: so I pay you for an hour and only get 20 minutes?
him: yep, most of my service calls are only 10 minutes.
me: ?...
him: look, you can call someone else. I don't want your business (hung up)
I'm guessing if you do business with this guy, you WON'T get what you pay for.
