We were stranded last night 60 mi. from home with no mechanic open. Our roadside assistance arranged for this company to tow our car home & told us that our package covered the first 30 mi. No problem. We waited for over 1 hr. The first words out of the driver's mouth were, ""You do realize you're only covered for the first 20 miles, right?"". My partner (politely) asked, ""We were told 30. Is it 20 or 30?"". As I said, at that point, we just wanted to get home & didn't really care how much it cost. It was just a question. The driver turned up his CB & asked his dispatcher (who turned out to be the owner of the company) if our particular roadside service covers 20 or 30 mi. We heard the woman answer back, ""I've been up since @$#* 4 am! I'm not going to argue with anybody tonight. Just leave 'em."" Next thing we know, the driver says, ""Have a nice night"" & drives off.
