Don't let the crowd's fool you, there's nothing above average about this place. The Xiolongbao here are on par with what you would buy on the street in Shanghai, not what you'd get in a decent restaurant. I think the only reason they're so well known from them is because they're one of the only places that serves them. The american chinese food here isn't bad at all, but if you try any of the authentic shanghai dishes you will be totally disappointed. The ganbian sijidou (spicy (or should be) stir fried green beans) were a joke, the hongshao rou (braised pork nuckle), which should fall off the bone with just chopsicks and a spoon, had to be hacked to death with a knife. the xiefen doufu (tofu with crab), a shanghai staple, was a shocking disgrace - it bore no resemblence to the actual dish.
