First impressions aren't always the truth

Though I did not think so for the first 50 minutes, this is a great place for a romantic dinner! Took the wife there for our anniversary dinner, & (in the end) was not disappointed.
Let me address the faults first, & get that out of the way. When we arrived 10 min early for our reservations, our table was not ready. No big deal, we'll sit at the bar & have a couple of cocktails; 45 min later I approach the hostess, & she had forgotten about us. We had to wait an additional 10 min or so to be seated. Secondly, in an effort to squeeze in an extra table or two, mgmt has left little room in between tables along the wall, making it difficult to get in and out.
Beyond these items, the experience was excellent. The wait staff was attentive w/o being instrusive (often a hard balance to find), and helpful in every way. The food was exquisite. The assorted antipasta was both interesting and delightful, a good recommendation from the wait staff. For entrees, I had the house specialty (wild boar tenderloin with gorgonzola sauce) & she had the Beef Tenderloin Medallion; both of us were impressed from the first bite.
I would recommend this restaurant for anyone's special occasion!
Pros: wait staff service; food selection and quality
Cons: little distance between tables; when full, a little noisy for "romance"
