Pretty Generic

Visited here after being told that it is the best they had so I did have some expectations. The service for a busy pre sox game was overall good. The drinks did satisfy as the other reviewers stated. It is the food were we part company. Mostly bland, the rice had no flavor, rest of the dish was greasy. There are many more Mexican places in Chicago that serve authentic food. Most are the smaller hole in the wall places that are not trying to please everyone, and may not serve alcohol, but much better food. I would go back here for drinks and something to nosh on. I would describe Pancho's as the Bennigan's of Mexican food. Pros: Very good drinks. Cons: Food was bland.
