One pair of sandals I bought there (out of 3), on the first wear out of the house, the front toe of both sandals bent under at different times, catching and scraping as I was walking down a normal sidewalk. I figured even if I got them repaired this would keep happening, so with receipt in hand, I went to return them. They hadn't been on sale, I had the receipt, and I thought it wouldn't be a problem. The Manager, Venus, told me that she wouldn't be able to take them back and was rude about it, saying it was my fault they were scraped, and actually asked me if I had bought too big a size. The best she was able to offer was the manufacturer's customer service number. She told me the owner of the shop's number was private and wouldn't give it to me.\r

I like to support small, locally-owned businesses. The good thing about living in San Francisco is that I'm sure that when I'm again in the market for shoes, I'll find a better, more cooperative source.
