We signed up for SBC DSL service in 12/04 -- the set-up was not easy and tech help poor. Also the DSL speed was not much improved over our AOL dial-up. The SBC rep who signed us up offered a special deal with no early disconnect fee. We disconnected after 2 months and for the last 2 years, SBC has sent our account to three collection agencies for a $200 disconnect fee! Stay away from SBC. Spend your money on cable internet -- MUCH faster and easy set up. more
