I was driving around Milwaukee and friends in chicago were giving me directions to Sobelmans. I found it about 1:30pm. We waited at the door for 20 minutes on a 10 degree Febuary Saturday for a table for three. Had beer and had a chance to see everything going on in the small bar. When we were seated Mrs. Sobelman was our waitress. Figered this out from the reviews from the newspaper posted in the restroom(?). Ordered burgers and fries and more beer. We spent two hours in a very relaxed bar talking to our son. He is in college in Milwaukee. Many of the people there were Marquette students and parents. Clue: caps and coats. We weren't. Plan on going back to a very relaxed place to have time to visit and eat some wholesome food.
