Len Wood's Indian Territory is one of the finest Native American art galleries in the entire nation. Their museum is filled with high quality genuine old Southwestern jewelry pieces; the back room contains amazing Navajo rugs and baskets from the Southwest and California; in the main section of the gallery one finds more rugs, baskets, as well as high quality pottery (by famous artists such as Maria Martinez), kachina dolls, Zuni fetishes, and really beautiful jewelry, both older and contemporary. The family that operates this gallery (3 generations) has been there for 36 years and is so honest, friendly and above all, knowledgable. Everyone dedicates their time to educate both collectors and simple people as myself about the Native cultures. I have a clearer understanding about some of the art forms as well as cultures ( I asked a lot of questions!!!) . They have a great book section too.
