Am now a ramen fan.

I ate there last night with friends. Service is not five stars, but it is an asian place in san gabriel, what do you expect? What they lack in service, they more than make up for in food. I ordered the tenderous beef ramen, my boyfriend ordered the-I forgot the name, the one with lots of slices of pork on top, we ordered a mushroom shrimp tempura to share and I had their iced milk green tea. The ramen was, for lack of a less dramatic description, like heaven in a bowl. The best part about my ramen was the beef and the soup. The ramen was just ok. The mushroom tempura had a crispy fried outside, and when you bite into it, its like biting into mushroom broth. So good. The milk green tea I had was too milky and I wouldn't order it again. Everything was reasonably priced. The tab for my boyfriend and I with drinks, tax and tip came out to be around $27, not bad.
I can't wait to go back and try other items on their menu.
In response to the previous review, ramen IS the japanese version of a Chinese noodle "la mein". I've found that a lot of the japanese restaurants I've been to are actually owned by non-japanese owners. Weird thing was their food still tasted good and very real to me, not "fake" food at all.
Pros: food.
Cons: none yet.
