the terms ""class war"" and ""3rd world gourmet"" apply to this place perfectly. i love it here. the produce is fresh, the meat is cheap, and they have all kinds of speciality items, especially items popular in mexico. \r
you have to bag your own groceries (which i actually prefer) and it is not exactly easy to access by public transpo, and foods co is located right accross from the posh rainbow foods. two very different clientales...\r
overall, this is a great option for those of use who cannot afford the highpriced ambiance of wholefoods, rainbow, or even safeway.
