I got my first haircut in New York at Soon a few days ago, and the experience was overall pleasant and enjoyable. I was greeted by the receptionist and my hair stylist promptly as I arrived for my appointment. My stylist was very friendly and patient - she listened to my requests attentively and explained to me what she was planning to do to give me the haircut I asked for. I haven't been to other salons in New York, so I can't compare, but I'm happy with the results.
Pros: good customer service, attentive stylist, affordable haircuts
Cons: could use some rennovation
