Recently moved to Houston. Got my car's brakes changed at a different shop (XX) and thought they could be trusted. Took my wife's car to the same shop and had her front brakes done. They said her rear brakes were a month away from being dangerous. We noticed the front brakes continued to squeak so we took the car back to XX have them look at the front brakes and again they said the rear were squeaking and they needed to be changed. Well this past weekend I needed plug for one of my tires and went to Shepherd Tire & Auto. They took 15 minutes and only charged me $10. They had time to change the oil in my wife's car, and when I returned I told them that I had been to another shop and the rear brakes needed to be replaced. I asked them to change the brakes but to see if the rotors could be saved. They came back a few minutes later and said the rear brakes were fine. They had over 40% of the pad remaining and I could get another 10,000 miles out of them. I happily paid for my oil change. It is a relief to find a mechanic I can trust. I won't be going anywhere else but Shepherd Tire & Auto.
