Never disappointed

Is it inappropriate to call this place my crackhouse? After the first time I went I was hooked for life. As a self-professed foodie, Burma Superstar reigns among my top restaurants in the city for its delicious and unique dishes that perfectly blend the right amount of familiar and unfamiliar flavors. A pleasant surprise awaits you on every "*-indicated Burmese dish". My favorites include the highly-touted tea-leaf salad, samusa soup (devoured with platha), and the succulent and tender pork curry eaten w/ the oh-so-scrumptious coconut rice. And contrary to many reviews posted here, the service is excellent. As a matter of fact, the waiter was instrumental during my first visit to Burma Superstar---he is the one that recommended all the dishes that have kept me as a faithful and vocal advocate of the restaurant. Run (don't walk) to this Richmond District gem for an extraordinary experience for your tastebuds.
Pros: FOOD, Knowledgable staff
Cons: No reservations
