This is the real deal. A truly small-town style barbershop plunked down in the middle of Houston (Bellaire, actually). Lots of interesting decor to keep you occupied while you wait (look for the tuba mute). Harry and Gordon have managed to keep it casual, friendly and inexpensive ($8), even as the city builds around them. I still make the 20 mile drive to see them once a month or so. Closed Sun-Mon.
