I BELIEVE THE HYPE. This place is GOOD. GREAT FOOD.
My girlfriend had the spaghetti, and it was seasoned so perfectly with little slices of vegetables and peppers that blended in with the pasta and light sauce.
My hamburger was done to perfection, and the bread really added a lot of zing and distinction to the taste.
We started with a couple glasses of chardonnay and Zuni's famous real caesar salad (whole romaine leaves, authentic caesar dressing with egg and anchovies and parmesan). While the salad was good, it was the least strong of the three.
Zuni's atmosphere is quintessential California cuisine. I like the copper topped bar. Service was brisk and friendly. Given the quality of the food, Zuni Cafe can compete with restaurants that cost more. I'm going back!
