Despite what the CitySearch reviewer says, Brown's is good for all events. Birthday parties, romantic night out, graduation dinners, etc. The people are so friendly that every meal feels like a world-class celebration. In all seriousness, a number of families do come for dinner early in the evening, and even as the live music gets going late in the evening, the atmosphere is far tamer than your typical live venue. I'd say more, but I'm on my way there, right now.
And as a correction, since the fire, they take credit cards now too!
