If you crave new york pizza, don't bother with the restaurants in Seattle. Everyone agrees that what you can find in Seattle can kill a craving, but it's just not the same thing. You must get in a car, you must drive to Clearview (this is pretty close to the Maltby Cafe if you've ever been out there) and you must order pizza at Number 1 New York Pizza. People, this place is run by a couple from Queens. It's -so good-. New York friends of mine have wept with joy over this pizza. (And the calzones, and the made-to-order canollis, and the cheesecake.) Go. It's delicious. It's worth it. It's really good and you'll be glad you went.
(Go north on 9 until you cross 180th. It's a few doors down on the right by the green ""produce"" sign and it's a tiny tiny little shop.)
Pros: Delicious pizza, Loveable characters, Cure for homesickness
Cons: Hard to find, No pineapple. Ever.
