When I lived in Ravenswood this was my comfort restaurant. The food is not fancy but everything is delicious. I have never been disappointed in anything I ordered. I love their Tom Kha soup especially, and my husband was addicted to their steamed mussels. A great place to go when you get off the train and want some food to make you happy. The waitstaff was always friendly and attentive, and they really appreciated seeing local repeat customers; we were like family there. I once left a hairclip there and they saved it for me for several months until we came back. We don't live nearby or off the Brown Line anymore, so we miss Roong!
