Overrated, overpriced, underserved.

Monday, June 27, 2005
After prolonged wait, finally greeted at table by down-to-earth and very competent waitress. Eventually, busperson(?) arrived with a meager bread serving and a single portion of butter. Salad at $7.00 consisted of small portion of butter lettuce and some baby greens in a large bowl. We got up and self-fetched and served the pepper. The waitress noted the omission and apologized for the overshight. One of the owners came to the table and served the main course, also apologizing for the service lapses. Nice touch, but avoidable with better training of the large staff. The main course, by contrast, was more than adequate, well presented, and flavorful (pork loin for me; lamb for my companion) - both quite good. The wine list is broad, but generally overpriced at 3.5 to 4.0 of retail. The deserts were well presented, but like everything else, somewhat overpriced. Pros: Good presentation, Main courses good Cons: Overpriced, Service lapses, Can be noisy
